Safety warnings:

• How long a Raise3D BuildTak Build Surface lasts depends on the filaments being printed, printing settings and user skills. Please use a smooth/rounded scraper when removing filaments from the printing surface. Do not use a scraper to vigorously remove filaments, otherwise you will damage the printing surface and reduce its service life.
• Do not use solvents such as acetone for cleaning, so as not to damage the printing surface. You can wipe the printing surface with water or alcohol. You can consult How to Clean the Printing Surface.
• When installing Raise3D BuildTak Build Surface, wipe down your bare build platform making sure it is clean and free of debris. Remove the white adhesive liner and apply the BuildTak sheet to the bare build plate. Start from one edge of the build plate and work your way to the other edge, smoothing the BuildTak sheet with a card or a feeler gauge. Make sure that there are no air bubbles between the BuildTak sheet and the build plate after it is pasted.
• Make sure the build plate is level and calibrate the nozzle height to ensure printing accuracy.

Installation tips:

• When disassembling and assembling the hot end, please power off the printer. The temperature of the hot end can be very high, so please wear the supplied heat-insulating gloves and use needle-nose pliers to perform any intervention.
• Be sure to check all wiring and power supply ratings carefully. It is recommended to perform any intervention on the nozzle only after turning off the power to avoid the possibility of a short circuit and fire.

Printing tips:

The brass nozzle is suitable for printing non-abrasive filaments such as PLA or ABS that do not contain certain additives. Using filaments with additives such as glass, carbon fiber or metal particles will accelerate the wear of the brass nozzle and greatly reduce its service life.

The grooves and ridges inside the nozzle are prone to damage, which can block the nozzle or increase the diameter of the nozzle orifice and make it unusable.

Tips for filaments:

• The recommended nozzle temperature for Raise3D Premium PLA is 190℃-220℃.
• The recommended nozzle temperature for Raise3D Premium ABS is 245℃-265℃.
• The recommended nozzle temperature for Raise3D Premium PETG is 230℃-240℃.
• The recommended nozzle temperature for Raise3D Premium Nylon is 280℃-290℃.

Safety warning:

• During the printing process, the temperature of the nozzle is very high, please do not touch the nozzle directly.
• When disassembling the nozzle and the hot end, please wear the heat-insulating gloves provided to prevent burns.
• After replacing the nozzle, be sure to recalibrate the distance between the nozzle and the printing plate, and also calibrate the height of the left and right nozzles to achieve a smooth printing experience.

The Filament Run-Out Sensor is designed for those who are looking to print intensively jobs and large object prints, fearlessly.

For large volume prints that require multiple spools or for specialty filament options prone to breakage, the sensor will automatically detect when material has run out and will pause your project until you to return. Combined with Raise3D print recovery for power outages, this add-on ensures continuous production with your N-Series system.

The Filament Run-Out Sensor detects filaments by using high quality optical sensors compatible with: opaque, translucent, and transparent filaments. This optical sensor maintains constancy and tension without the interference of physical gears or grips, allowing compatibility with multiple material types including flexible filaments. (For translucent/transparent/flexible materials, only Raise3D Branded filament is verified.)
